The DOH Files launches in this issue KP(han) Forum—a journalistic remake of the usual kapihan forum—to get insights from various health officials and stakeholders, as well as health advocates, on what else can be done to give KP the successful fruition it deserves. To keep up with the challenge of reducing the Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) to achieve the MDG in time,
the Mindanao Operations Cluster launched the “Tunog ni Nanay, Tunog ng Buhay,” a program focused on training health providers on basic obstetric ultrasonography skillsto evaluate pregnant women. This aims to aid them in diagnosingncomplications during pregnancy.
