PCSO Newsletter March 2014 Filing of SALN by Government Officials and Employees


In a memorandum dated February 28, 2014, the PCSO General Manager directed all officials and employees to submit their 2013 Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) to the Human Resources Department not later than March 14, 2014. He also instructed officers and employees from the Branch Offices, particularly the Visayas and Mindanao Departments, to file their 2013 SALN directly with the Office of the Ombudsman in their respective areas. The submission of a SALN is required by law under Article XI Section 17 of the 1987 Constitution and Section 8 of Republic Act No. 6713 or the “Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.”
Public officials and employees must file their respective SALN upon assumption of office and as often as required by law. SALNs should be filed upon entry or exit from government service and before April 30 of every year.
